The Deutsche Bank Foundation been providing assistance to people in disaster regions for more than a decade: after the severe flooding in Eastern Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic in 1997, it rendered both immediate and long-term aid to those in need. In subsequent years as well, the Foundation repeatedly provided targeted reconstruction aid in disaster areas around the world.
