From the Polish art prize “Views” to individual exhibitions of modern and contemporary artists and the award of the Deutsche Bank Foundation’s Youth Art Prize – support for the arts is one of the key focuses of our work.
Villa Romana
Olivier Foulon, Kalin Lindena, Benjamin Yavuzsoy, and Eske Schlüters have been voted the 2009 Villa Romana fellows. At a meeting in July 2008 in Florence, this year's jury – consisting of Susanne Titz, director of Museum Abteiberg in Mönchengladbach, and the Berlin-based artist Eran Schaerf – selected these four artists from 11 proposed applications. Youth Art Prize
The Deutsche Bank Foundation's Youth Art Prize was awarded once again in 2007. On 12 November, State Secretary for Culture Hans-Heinrich Grosse-Brockhoff congratulated the winners of the "Youth interprets art 2007" project and opened the exhibition of the works of all this year's contestants in Duisburg. Wallraf the Museum Bus
Starting in January 2008, Germany's first museum bus has made boring museum visits a thing of the past - at least in Cologne's Wallraf-Richartz-Museum."Crime Scene Wallraf - Seeking Clues in the Museum" is the name of one of the projects that invite pupils to take part in an entertaining confrontation with the pieces exhibited at the Wallraf. Polish art prize "Views"
Since 2003, the Deutsche Bank Foundation and Zacheta National Gallery in Warsaw have been awarding the “Views” prize for new Polish art: this year it goes to Janek Simon. The EUR 10,000 prize is awarded every two years by a German-Polish jury and provides a platform for young Polish artists. [more]
 
Kandinsky Prize
The Deutsche Bank Foundation, Deutsche Bank Russia and Russia’s leading art magazine “ArtChronika” presented the winners of the “Kandinsky Prize”. The prize in the “Artist of the Year” category with an award of € 40,000, the highest endowment for a contemporary art prize in Russia, went to Anatoly Osmolovsky. [more]
